Art historian. MsC in History (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso) PhD in Art History (University of Granada). Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Fine Arts of Argentina.
Associate Professor of the Department of Visual Arts at the Universidad de Playa Ancha and Associate Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

He is the author of a hundred articles, essays and catalogs of his specialty, as well as author and co-author of a dozen books, highlighting the trilogy "Local Heritage Essays on art, architecture and place" (2004), "Post Heritage" (2012), and "Patrimonial" (2017).

As a curator he has developed projects in the National Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Education, Museum of Visual Arts, Cultural Park of Valparaíso, Sala Puntangeles, Architeckturzentrum, among others. As a consultant on heritage issues he has participated in territorial planning projects, historical research, conservation assessment and training in public, intergovernmental, national and private institutions in Chile and abroad. He Past President of the Chilean Committee of the International Council of Monuments and Sites ICOMOS and former General Secretary of the Council of National Monuments of Chile.
