Hugo Carrillo ( Coban - Guatemala , 1929 ) - Guatemala City - Guatemala , 19 October 1994 ) is a Guatemalan artist, playwright and theater director, author honored with the XVI Festival of Guatemalan Theatre. He studied Faculty of Humanities and History at the University of San Carlos of Guatemala from 1952 to 1953; Philosophy and Literature at the University of Mexico; a year of study in the Department of Theatre in 1954, at the University of Bridgeport, Conn.
