Claudio Mercado Muñoz is an oral poet, ethnomusicologist and filmmaker from the Pirque region of Chile. He has been recording oral poetry in Chile for two decades. He is the author of many important books, such as "I Humbly Pray, The Bailes Chinos of Central Chile." He created the Archives of Indigenous Music and the Archive of Ethnographic videos at the Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino (The Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art).
