Evelyn Glennie is the first person in musical history to successfully create and sustain a full-time career as a solo percussionist. Glennie was awarded Dame Commander of the British Empire in 2007, is a double Grammy winner and a BAFTA nominee. Her music has been compiled into over 28 CDs. Outside her music, Glennie is also a jewelry designer, collects rare percussion instruments and travels the world as a motivational speaker.
