El Quilama, Luís Galdames is one of the greatest Chilean oral poets. He is a flag bearer for the Baile Chino de Ventanas on the central coast of Chile. Quilama is a fisherman who composes his poems during the ritual Baile Chino ceremonies. The ethnomusicologist Claudio Mercado Muñoz has dedicated the following works to El Quilama:
