Independent filmmaker, Thierry Knauff is Bachelor of Arts (Romance Philology) at the Catholic University of Leuven and a degree in Film Production at the Higher National Institute of Performing Arts (INSAS). Knauff is founder of the Belgium film production company Les Films du Sablier.
His documentaries Baka (1995) and Wild Blue (2000) won several awards.

This anthropological film observes and exhalts the life of the Baka Pygmies who live in the forests of South-East Cameroon.
